Summary

Liu Xueyuan had been the Emperor's most beloved concubine who had been hailed as a Heavenly Maiden by the people for her powers of clairvoyance. However, she had had many lovers who aided her in growing her influence over the Imperial Court and lay the foundations to a future rebellion. When her plans had been discovered, she had been executed and her people reduced to the status of slaves. Due to this, Yuying, a member of Liu Xueyuan's ethnic group, lived a life of persecution. In the end, her people were to be exiled under imperial decree. In her attempt to escape, Yuying was killed and woke up fifty years earlier, in Liu Xueyuan's body.
